Everyone quick, grab a costume!

ay, sarah here.
as you all know, monday's Racial Harmony Day.
almost all the girls have costumes already, so that's good.
but the boys... a lot of you don't have.

PLEASE quickly get a costume. either from your neighbours/relatives/friends.
i'm sure at least one of them will have. your pri schl friends ley?
then still have other schoolmates.
please make the effort to get an ethnic costume so on monday we will be colourful and united as much as possible.

if you don't have costume, then will have to wear uniform and tie siahhh -.-
wtf right? so get a comfortable, ethnic costume, go to school, have fun with our extended recess and enjoy the day on monday.

REGARDING ENGLISH ORAL.

Ohgosh, 1 more.

ENGLISH ORAL EXAMINATION.

1. Attendance is compulsory.

2.Latecomers will be barred from taking the examination.

3. If you are sick, a Medical Cert must be given to your English teacher the following day you return to school following your absence.Letters from parents or from Chinese Physicians/Acupuncturists will not be accepted.

4. Sec 1E1 to 1E4 pupils will report on Thursday, 3rd June 2010 at 11.00am for your English Oral Exam.

Student are to report at the area outside thgeneral office punctually where your attendance will be taken.

You will then be led to the hall.

5. All students must bring a book for silent readingg. While waiting for your turn, you are reminded to read your own book silently.

6. Each pupil will be given 5 minutes to practise reading the passage and study the picture.

7. After the examination, students must leave the hall and proceed to the school gate.

8. All students are reminded that they must be in proper school uniform when tey come for the examination.

9. Please check the groupings and schedule for your examinations.

*If you are going on a overseas trip, you are required to inform Ms Cassandra Hii before you leave. You will need tol bring your passport as evidence of your trip, when you return back on the first day of school.

History holiday assignment instrusctions.

Hi. Yuxuan here again. Here's the history details for the project yeap.

HISTORY
- Required to submit history file when school reopens - 28 June.
Filing should be in this sequence : Notes for Chapt 1-3 (Most bottom)
Class test 1
Common test 1
Notes for Chapt 4-5
Class test 2 (Most top)



- As part of June Holidays Assignment for History, we're required to form a group of 3-4 people to do a research on Chapter 6 - Religion, and submit your presentation when school reopens on 28 June
*As this assignment will be graded and make up part of your CA2Nmarks for semester 2, you are reminded to hand in your research on time.

You are required to do the following asap:
i) Form a group of 3-4 people
ii) Appoint a group leader
iii) Leader is to submit the names of your members and index number to Bryan.b.
iv)Bryan b: Consolidate all respective group leader and his/her teamates on a sheet of paper and hand in to Mr Adrian.

Please note that the webquest can be found in your LMS, under "History >>> June HolidayAssignment."

TASK

You are to work in groups of 3-4 people, to research and complete the assigned task.

Firstly, as a group, you will choose the civilisation that your group want to research on. You are to choose from one of the following:
1. China
2. India
3. Southeast Asia

Secondly, each team member will take one of the following roles:


A. Leader cum researcher
Tasks :
Allocates tasks to team members
Charts time-line
Conducts discussions
Encourages group mates
Speaks on the behalf of the group.


B. Researchers (Every member)
Tasks :
Studies the information on the various religions and philosophies in the civilisation
Gathers the content so as to develop the presentation
Participates in discussion


C. Secretary cum researcher
Tasks :
Records the content / info raised in discussion
Develops a presentation based on the gathered information
Looks at the issue on the webquest in general (big picture)

You are to divide the tasks equally

Thirdly, use the resources given to you, e.g. relevant websites, to help you understand the information on the different religions and philosophies in each civilisation. Based on your readings and research, you will develop your presentation on the civilisation.
(You may refer to your textbook if you need furthur clarification.)

Finally, you will use a visual medium such as Powerpoint to present your case. Keep in mind that the civilization that your group has chosen for this webquest. You are to prepare the presentation to show the following:

Different religions that were practise

1. Different philosophies that were used
2. Impact of these religions and philosophies
3. Comparison to our current situation in Singapore today.

Okay, uhm.

LMS : Print out assignments needed and complete it. Submit after June Hols.

Math : Math dunman sec paper? I guess.

Science : Paper chromatography worksheet and the other worksheet miss lin assigned.
